Visit to the Tholos tomb of Acharnes, the most ancient Mycenaean tomb of Attica constructed in the 13th century BC, with rich finds that are kept in the National Archaeological Museum. It belonged to an aristocratic family of the area, and the dead who were hosted in it were honored for many centuries. Mrs. Kassotaki, an archaeologist and responsible for the educational programs of the monument, presented the history of the tomb to the students and their teachers, explained how important the burial ceremony was for the ancient people and guided the group to the monument. The students had already prepared clay pots from the previous day to represent a grave goods. They then explored the objects exposed to the auxiliary area of the monument, clay dolls, vases, theatrical costumes and masks. They are all made by students who have participated in the training programs on burial customs.
