Greek Christmas customs

Writer's picture: adminadmin

Christmas - New Year! The happiest days of the year. Greetings, gifts, carols, Christmas trees and many many treats.

Greece has a lot of customs about these festive days. The beginning of some of them is lost in the distant past, in ancient Greece. Some are more modern, influenced by the habits of other peoples.

But everything is inextricably bound up with the Greek mentality, the love for nature, kindness and solidarity with the fellow man.

From hundreds of Christmas customs, the students of the project present some of them that are found all over Greece.
